BLACKSBURG, Va., Aug. 4, 2015 – Kentland Farm may be best known for the Dining Services Garden that provides some of the fresh produce to the thousands of students who eat on the Virginia Tech campus, but participants at the New River Valley Agriculture Field Day will learn that the 350-acre farm is much more than that.
The farms’ diverse research initiatives will be on display from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
The field day will showcase the variety of research projects being conducted at the farm, including programs that focus on weed management, fescue seed head suppression, and unmanned aircraft.
